3 year old birthday party ideas at home
This was a pretty big birthday for our family this year and we wanted to make it memorable. We decided to have a party at our house on a Saturday evening. All of us were excited to set the tone for the weekend with a casual dinner that included a few appetizers and then cake. The next morning it was time to wake our family up and get them ready for the party.
Let’s face it: We’re not going to be a family of eight. It’s just us and our kids.
Well, I’m sure you’re thinking there was a lot of planning in the making of this party, but I’m also sure you’re thinking. Well, we were. There are basically 3 things we did that were not part of the plan. We didn’t buy or build any birthday cake because we wanted to make it look as “normal” as possible.
We made the bed, and its a mess. We put the little candles in it and it looks really creepy. We also made a giant, huge cake that we got from a nearby bakery. But it still looks like a cake.
The cake is in the center of the room. We thought we could do a big pop-up for a cake in that spot. But we ran out of room. We wanted to do a party that was very traditional and really memorable. We were so busy and tired that we didnt think to put the chairs in the center of the room. We just thought, “Its not happening. It will happen when we get home.” But it didnt.
We decided we should have a party at home. It was a birthday week, and we felt we should have a party at our house. Not in a nice, fancy restaurant, but at home. We thought we could do it in a small space, but also in a room that was a little bit smaller than the room we were planning to do it in.
So we all sat down and brainstormed. We decided that each person would have his own birthday cake and drink to celebrate his birthday. We decided to make it interesting by having a story that would have a happy ending (or at least a happy ending that was tied in with the party). Each person had a birthday story to tell. The birthday cake was one of our best ideas so far.
Our birthday cake was inspired by the cake we made for our daughter’s first birthday, but it’s also the birthday cake that we thought the best of all the birthday cakes we’ve made so far this year. It was also a really simple one. We used chocolate with a cherry on top as a base.
We wanted the cake to look and feel like a real party. We used chocolate with a cherry on top as a base.
We also used an edible heart as the base. This was a really fun idea.
