funeral home ad spreads message for the unvaccinated
My funeral home was chosen as the location for our own billboard on the side of a hill. It is located in the small town I grew up in, and I have lived there forever. That said, I am not a “death anxiety” person. I am a believer in the power of positive thinking and the importance of taking care of the self. It is the way I live my life, but I take no responsibility for the outcomes of my actions.
My funeral home was chosen for its proximity to my new home. I’m not sure why that makes any difference.
Our billboard is pretty low-key. It is displayed on the side of an old cemetery. It reads “If your family and friends are getting old and have no idea what to do with themselves, then it may be time to think about calling in an expert.” It is meant to make people think that there is a need for a resource for people who have lost their wills and the ability to make decisions. We hope that our billboard will spread the message that the unvaccinated are not alone.
I know that I’m a bit of an outlier here but it is interesting that the billboard is for a funeral home and not a pharmacy. It makes me wonder if some people are choosing to make some sort of choice or decision that has a negative effect on others. It seems to be a decision for some (maybe those who are the most vulnerable) to make. It makes me wonder what the effects of that decision may be in the long-term.
I guess the point is that it is important that we, the general public, take some responsibility for our health and not just our bodies. I was talking to a friend of mine who was recently vaccinated and he told me how he doesn’t want to be vaccinated ever. He says that he wants to keep his immune system strong and he wants to be healthy.
I agree. It is important to take some steps to protect ourselves as much as possible, but it is also important to make certain that we are informed about the choices we make. No, I don’t mean that we should stop eating bacon and white rice and cream of wheat. But I do mean that we should take some responsibility for our health and what we put in our bodies.
The ad is the latest example of a company trying to get people to change their minds. For years they’ve been using a series of ads to get people to visit the funeral homes of people who have died. The ads, which are still running, are all about the fact that these people were unvaccinated and didn’t get the vaccine.
I had a friend once (whose name I won’t mention for fear of giving her a bad name) who had a very serious and complicated illness, and she wanted to find a memorial for her. This involved coming to a bunch of different funeral homes, going through all the rooms and getting everybody to sign an affidavit that said they were unvaccinated, and that they had never had an infectious disease.
This is also a great opportunity to promote the fact that all the funeral homes are completely unregulated, that all of the people who have signed this paper have never been diagnosed with a serious illness, and that the whole thing is a scam that is totally against the law.
Now that we’ve seen it, I don’t know what kind of weird thing I’m thinking. I mean, I know it’s a great idea. I might even go to a funeral home and sign on for a second affidavit, but I’m not sure I should. But the fact that people are worried that if they are unvaccinated they may catch something that will make them sick is pretty hilarious. And the fact that they are worried is not only funny, it’s pretty sad.
