root melt at home
One of my friends is from Ireland and she asked me the other day if I used any butter. I said no, I use coconut oil. Well, to my surprise, she brought me some of her homemade root melt. I think it is an amazing flavor combination.
Root melt is an oil made from the root of the coconut. It’s basically butter made from coconut oil. Root melt is usually used to fill foods with flavor and texture. Some roots contain enough protein to make them suitable for root beer, and some are high in fiber and other nutrients.
The recipe makes about 10 cups, and it has around 1,000 calories, but it’s still really good. I’m not sure if I would try to make it again.
Although I can’t say I actually care for root melt, I think it is a great ingredient in recipes. I like the idea of using it in different dishes. For example, I am not 100% sold on the idea of using it as a substitute for butter in a baking recipe, but for a variety of dishes. I think it would work really well in a savory baked dish that uses dried fruits, nuts, and vegetables.
I’m not sure if I’d make root melt again, but I do think if you make root melt for a recipe that uses dried fruits, nuts, and vegetables, you would get a pretty good amount of that ingredient. It’s actually a really good ingredient, and I think I may try to make it again soon.
Root melts work better in the microwave than the oven, as they have a much shorter cooking time. You can make them in advance and then refrigerate them to use for several days. They can also be stored in the freezer for up to two weeks, making them perfect for when you want a quick and easy dessert.
